Raptor Shift Light Install-Camaro
1978-1992 tach signal is a white wire at the distributor
1993-1997 5.7L:
Tach signal is a white wire on 32 pin, red connector, pin #13
If installing the Raptor dual mode shift light, connect the white wire of the shift light to the Vehicle Speed Sensor (Vss) output signal from the 32 pin PCM black connector (pin #8, dark green wire with white stripe).
1998 LS1 5.7L:
Tach wire is pin #35 on blue PCM connector
If installing the Raptor dual mode shift light, connect the white wire of the shift light to the Vehicle Speed Sensor (Vss) output signal from the PCM red connector (pin #55, dark green wire with white stripe).
1999-2002 LS1, 5.7L:
Tach wire is pin #10 on red PCM connector
If installing the Raptor dual mode shift light, connect the white wire of the shift light to the Vehicle Speed Sensor (Vss) output signal from the PCM red connector (pin #50, dark green wire with white stripe).
2010-2015 Camaro SS 6.2L with LS3/L99 engine:
There is no tach out lead from the PCM. The shift light needs to read from an ignition coil driver signal.**NOTE**: The signal to the ignition coils are very low in amplitude on the 2010+ Camaro.
Therefore the Gen I single mode shift light (with rotary rpm dials) must be programmed for high sensitivity before shipping.
The Gen II single mode shift light and Gen II dual mode shift light (with digital displays) has user settable sensitivity levels and does not require special programming.
-There are 2 connectors on the PCM for the LS3/L99 engine (Camaro SS).
-Engine speed signal from PCM X2 connector (connector toward rear of car on PCM) (dark green wire, pin #75 of X2, 80 position connector). This is the coil drive signal from the PCM to coil #5. You can also get the signal at the ignition coil (or any of the 8 coils). Connect green wire of shift light here. PCM is located in engine bay, passenger side, beside fuse box. DO NOT CONNECT TO FUEL INJECTOR WIRE. THIS WILL CAUSE IMPROPER OPERATION OF THE SHIFT LIGHT DUE TO ERRACTIC INJECTOR SIGNAL!!
-Vehicle Speed: If installing the Raptor dual mode shift light, connect the white wire of the shift light to the Vehicle Speed Sensor (Vss) signal from the PCM, 73 position connector X1 (pin #71, gray wire with black stripe). X1 connector is toward the front of the car on the PCM.
2010-2015 Camaro V6 (LLT Engine)
-Engine speed: signal from PCM (purple wire, pin #55 of X1, 96 position connector. This is the coil drive signal from the PCM to coil #1. You can also get the signal at the ignition coil (or any of the 6 coils). Connect green wire of shift light here.
-Vehicle Speed: If installing the Raptor dual mode shift light, connect the white wire of the shift light to the Vehicle Speed signal from PCM, (pin #43 of X2, 58 position connector), gray wire with black stripe.
2012-2015 Camaro ZL1 6.2L S/C with LSA engine:
There is no tach out lead from the PCM. The shift light needs to read from an ignition coil driver signal.**NOTE**: The signal to the ignition coils are very low in amplitude on the 2010+ Camaro.
Therefore the single mode shift light must be programmed for high sensitivity before shipping.
However, the Gen II dual mode shift light has user settable sensitivity levels and does not require special programming.
-There are 3 connectors on the PCM for the LSA engine (Camaro ZL1). We only use X2 and X3.
-Engine speed signal from PCM (purple wire, pin #1 of X2 , 73 position connector. This is the coil drive signal from the PCM to coil #1. You can also get the signal at the ignition coil (or any of the 8 coils). Connect green wire of shift light here.
-If installing the Raptor dual mode shift light, connect the white wire of the shift light to the Vehicle Speed signal from PCM, (pin #66 of X3, 73 position connector, gray wire with black stripe.
2016+ Camaro SS 6.2L with LT1/LT4 engine:
There are three 73 pin connectors on the PCM, X1 (Blue), X2 (black) and X3 (gray)
-Engine speed: signal from PCM (white wire, pin #39 of X2 (middle black connector), 73 position connector. This is the engine speed signal from the PCM. You can also get an rpm signal at any ignition coil. Connect green wire of shift light here.
-Vehicle Speed: If installing the Raptor dual mode shift light, connect the white wire of the shift light to the Vehicle Speed signal from PCM, (pin #8 of X2 (middle connector), green wire.

**NOTE**
For LS1/LS2/LS6/LS7 engines, set shift light to "4 cylinder" mode for 2 pulse/rev (PCM tach out terminal is "2 pulse/rev)
LS3, L99, or LSA engine, set shift light to "1 cylinder" mode (reads off coil signal wire).
For older V8 engines with single coil, set shift light to "8 cylinder" mode.
